Our church offers an array of support and services for people as they journey through the various stages of life. Whether you are a member of our church or not – Hawkesbury Church sees our services for Births, Deaths and Marriages are crucial to the community.
Supporting people during these times – spiritually, emotionally and physically can make the journey a little easier.

Pastoral Care offers a pre-marital course called Prepare, which is aimed at couples who are about to marry be better prepared for life after the wedding. Pastoral Care will also help to arrange the venue and a celebrant for your big day.

Then there are the times in our life when we lose someone we love dearly. It is during those times that we need a support network the most. Pastoral Care will help you through these times, with service arrangements, counseling and other practical support – whether it be an arm around your shoulder when you need it the most or whether it be a lift to the hospital – we see our role to be your support during this time.


Babies

We offer various support programs and networks for expectant mothers and families. From expectancy through infancy our pastoral care team offer support, education and encouragement.


Child Dedications

We believe in dedicating children to God. When a parent decides to dedicate a child they are publicly committing to God and the church family that they will do all they can to bring their child up to follow the ways of God. It is also a time where the parents acknowledge that they cannot do this alone; they need the guidance of Holy Spirit and the support of their family, friends and church family. A child dedication ceremony is an opportunity for parents to commit themselves to God, to each other and their child to God; with the ultimate goal that they will develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ when they reach an age of personal accountability and understanding.

We have the opportunity to dedicate children during our family service once a month. To have your child dedicated contact the Pastoral Care team or your Life Group leader. You will need to provide suitable photos of your child for display on the big screen, a Bible verse relating to the dedication, the child’s birth date and full name. Don’t fret too much over a suitable verse – our Pastoral Care team can help select a verse to make the day more memorable.

Marriage

Weddings are a joyous occasion and we are proud to be able to offer a full service when it comes to your big day. From pre-wedding sessions designed to better prepare you for marriage to catering and hosting post ceremony – including the legal and procedural side to a wedding, our team can help you through each step. We have five Pastors on staff who are able to conduct your wedding ceremony. We have an events team who can handle the ceremony logistics and a creative team who can provide the special touches for the big day.

When a couple is looking to get married we invite them to attend a Prepare course, to learn vital skills in preparing them for marriage.
